More Time for Fun in the Centre

Downtown Winnipeg has more entertainment per square mile than any other part of the city. When you live at 390 on the River, there’s more time to enjoy the fun. Just ask our owners.

When Theresa and Elliott Hunter were considering the move from family home to condo, they had a clear vision of what their new life could be. They imagined waking up each morning to breathtaking views. They’d be surrounded by great entertainment choices.

After a day or evening of fun, they’d return home to a quiet, well-built retreat, with stylish finishes and all the conveniences they desired. Finding a real-life version of their dream wasn’t easy – until the Hunters discovered 390 on the River, the new condominium development on Assiniboine Avenue, just east of the Osborne Street bridge.

390 has it all

“We looked at all kinds of condos all over the city, and the only place that had it all was 390 on the River,” Theresa says. “Now that we’re here, it’s even better than we envisioned.”

Today, their favourite places for dining, theatre, sports and music are just a short stroll away. They might head over to the West End Cultural Centre for a concert, see an art show at the WAG or take in a special event at the downtown arena, all without taking the car out of the heated indoor parkade. Their favourite route for exploring the city is the Assiniboine River Walk, which is directly connected to the property by a private path.

Downtown comes alive in the summer

Now that summer has arrived, the surrounding neighbourhoods are alive with outdoor patios, a weekly farmers’ market and free concerts. The Hunters are big fans of events like the Winnipeg Jazz Festival, and this year it will be easy to take in everything. While others circle the streets hunting for a parking spot, they take a leisurely walk over to the Exchange.

Their condo on the 20th floor provides a quiet and cozy bird’s-eye view of the city’s beauty and celebrations. From their balcony, they can see the city changing colours with the seasons, the water taxi cruising down the Assiniboine and fireworks lighting up the night.

Space to host when you need it

On the sixth floor, 390 on the River also has ideal facilities for hosting private get-togethers. Theresa looks forward to using the 2,364 square-foot outdoor terrace and adjacent kitchen/dining area for an annual gathering of old school friends this summer.

“Our downtown is becoming so great,” says Theresa. “And it’s so exciting to be part of the change.”
